At Bhutan Travel Center, we are deeply committed to promoting responsible and sustainable tourism. Our mission is to preserve Bhutan's unique environment and cultural heritage while ensuring that tourism positively impacts local communities. By collaborating closely with local communities, we ensure that tourism benefits them directly through employment, the use of local products and services, and contributions to the community, which benefit community livelihoods.
Despite being a small country, Bhutan is a global leader in conservation, being one of the few countries that absorbs more carbon than it emits. We have nearly 70% forest cover, which stands as a beacon of conservation, protecting thousands of vital habitats for rare species including tigers, snow leopards, black-necked cranes, red pandas, the Himalayan takin, and elephants. This approach not only fosters environmental health but also enhances the well-being of our citizens, showcasing Bhutan as a model of harmony between nature and humanity.
We also educate travelers on responsible practices, encouraging them to minimize their environmental footprint, respect local customs, and support sustainable initiatives. Through these efforts, Bhutan Travel Center aims to lead in responsible tourism and positively impact Bhutan's environment, communities, and culture.
